In the summer of 2005, I had the pleasure of traveling across Japan with a group of students from Bend, Oregon.  Our trip included visiting Sapporo, Sendai, Nara, Tokyo, Kyoto, Fujioka to name just a few of the cities seen during our month long trek.

This photo was taken in Nara where the deer roam free.....I love the architectural detail used in Japanese pagodas and temples and was pleased with how they translated into my sterling silver pieces.
